PTS have developed a High Voltage training simulator to allow the practical aspects of HV Switching to be undertaken at their Mackay Training Facilities		The HV simulator can be relocated to company sites if access to switching equipment is not available or weather conditions are not favorable
With this simulator at their training facility every person undertaking the HV switching course will get hands on experience with all switching operations		The HV simulator allows practical training to be undertaken no matter what the weather conditions

Practical aspects of arc flash hazards and protection are easily demonstrated using equipment installed in the simulator.
Equipment is being added to the simulator so that it will cover all aspects HV switching from indoor metal-clad circuit-breakers to switchyard and field components
