Bob
Plumpton - Director
Bob Plumpton is the
Director and Senior instructor
of Plumpton Training Services.
He started out in the Electrical
Industry as an apprentice and
worked as a shift Electrician
and then Electrical Engineer In-Charge
at several mines for a number
of years. Bob went on to achieve
his Bachelor of Science [Engineering]
- Kennedy Western University,
USA. He's an Accredited High Voltage
/ Hazardous Areas Electrical Auditor
through the Queensland Government
Electrical Safety Office and is
a Certificated Assessor of Quality
Management Systems [Standards
Australia Quality Assurance Service
Pty Ltd]. Bob has been involved
for over 10 years in
teaching electricians including
a period as a TAFE College teacher.
He is approved to teach High Voltage
Switching and Hazardous Area Electrical
Units of Competency. Bob is dedicated
to providing the most up to date
and innovative training programs
to assist his students achieve
their goals.

Rod
Taylor - Instructor
Rod has been in the electrical field
since 1957 serving his apprenticeship
at the Supply Authority in Brisbane.
Rod went on to work in other supply
authorities, and from there to copper,
iron ore then coal mines where he
held the statutory position of Mine
Electrician. From there he went
on to become the maintenance engineer
at an international resort facility.
He is also an Instructor and delivers
electrical training packages for
High Voltage Switching, CPR/LVR
and general electrical safety. He
is a dedicated individual with exceptional
experience in the electrical industry.

Lyle Bridgeman - Instructor
Lyle started with Plumpton Training
Services in August 2006. Previously
Lyle had spent a number of years
working in the Coal Fields of Central
Queensland, including Oaky Creek
Coal, Moura Mine, Dawson Seamgas,
Kestrel Coal and Crinum East. Lyle
has worked in Open Cut, Highwall
Mining and Underground operations.
Lyle has vast electrical experience
due to the number of different roles
which he has undertaken, for example:
shift electrician, electrical operator/maintainer,
maintenance planning and electrical
supervision/co-ordination. From
Lyle's work history he is able to
relate to the student’s needs and
assist with their personal development.

Ian MacDonald - Instructor
Ian has a Diploma in Electrical
Engineering, Mine Electrician Certificate
for All Mines, has held positions
as Electrical Engineering Manager
in coal mines, has a Macroview engineering
certificate, auto cad drafting,
instructional skills, to mention
a few. Ian has been training in
High voltage, Hazardous Area Explosion
Protection Practices for over 10
years with a great knowledge of
the industry. |

Lesley Plumpton- Office Manager
/ Training Coordinator
Lesley ensures the smooth running
of the PTS office and co-ordinates
the schedules and materials for
client site training and the Mackay
office training room. |
