This course for those individuals who wish to advance their career and take the next step into managing electrical activities on a mine site.
Coal Mining Safety and Health Regulation, Part 4 States:
"The duties of an electrical engineering manager include controlling and managing the following at the mine
(a) the design of electrical installations;
(b) the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and electrical installations;
(c) electrical work;
(d) work carried out close to electrical installation"
EEM Competencies Includes:
RIIRAI609D - Establish and maintain electrical installations, reticulation and protection systems
UEECD0013 - Develop and implement energy sector maintenance programs
UEECD0029 - Plan electrotechnology programs
UEEEL0015 - Manage large electrical projects
EEM Course Content:
Statutory compliance and Legislation
Plan and manage electrical activities relevant to a mine site
Develop and implement maintenance programs for electrical equipment and systems
Mode of Delivery:
This courses is delivered face to face over two 5-day blocks.
