SURFACE ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING MANAGER (EEM)

Course Outline:

This course for those individuals who wish to advance their career and take the next step into managing electrical activities on a mine site.

Coal Mining Safety and Health Regulation, Part 4 States:

 

"​The duties of an electrical engineering manager include controlling and managing the following at the mine

  • (a) the design of electrical installations;

  • (b) the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment and electrical installations;

  • (c) electrical work;

  • (d) work carried out close to electrical installation"

 

Competencies Includes:

  • RIIRAI609D - Establish and maintain electrical installations, reticulation and protection systems

  • UEECD0013 - Develop and implement energy sector maintenance programs

  • UEECD0029 - Plan electrotechnology programs

  • UEEEL0015 - Manage large electrical projects

  • EEHA Competencies

 

EEM Course Content:

  • Statutory compliance and Legislation

  • Plan and manage electrical activities relevant to a mine site

  • Develop and implement maintenance programs for electrical equipment and systems

 

Mode of Delivery:

This courses is delivered face to face over two 5-day blocks.

Any personnel who is required to control and manage electrical activities on a mine site or those persons are looking to progress their electrical career within the mining industry.
