PLAN PLANT PREPARATION AND ISOLATION

Learn the skills and knowledge required to plan and prepare for isolation of a plant

Course Outline:

This unit of competency applies to senior technicians, operator/maintainers, maintenance planners, authorised permit issuers, and those in similar roles who are required to apply in-depth knowledge of process and plant in order to confirm the work to be done; plan the isolation and de-isolation strategies, preparations and sequencing; obtain authorities; liaise with stakeholders and complete documentation. The technician will have detailed operational and process knowledge but is not required to demonstrate 'hands on' operation of equipment as part of this competency. This competency may form part of their regular work role or could be a full-time role on secondment for a major shutdown.

PMASUP444 - Plan plant preparation and isolation

 

Course Content:

  • Statutory compliance and Legislation

  • Plan isolation and de-isolation strategies

  • preparations and sequencing

  • obtaining authorities

  • liaising with stakeholders

  • compiling and completing documentation

 

Mode of Delivery:

This courses consists 2 days face to face training

Who Should Attend?

This unit of competency applies to senior technicians, operator/maintainers, maintenance planners, authorised permit issuers, and those in similar roles who are required to apply in-depth knowledge of process and plant in order to confirm the work to be done

 

Refresher Training:

Industry recommendation and best practice recommends high voltage switching refresher training be completed at intervals not exceeding 2 - 3 years.
