Learn the knowledge and skills required to test and tag low voltage cord connected equipment

Test and Tag Course Outline:

This test and tag course unit covers safety testing of electrical cord-connected equipment and cord assemblies. It encompasses working safely, using a portable apparatus tester, identifying faults, applying tagging, arranging for repair of faulty equipment, and complete testing documentation

Test Tag Course Includes:

UEERL0003 - Conduct in-service testing of electrical cord connected equipment and cord assemblies

UEECD0007 - Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace.

 

Electrical Test and Tag Course Content:

  • Basic electrical principles

  • Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3760)

  • Work Health & Safety legislative requirements

  • Risk Management documentation, implementation and controls

  • Visual inspections

  • Portable Appliance Tester (PAT)

  • Testing Portable Electrical Equipment

Mode of Delivery:

This course is conducted face to face and is 1 day in duration and consists of both theory and practical assessment.
